At work...
Two days in a row, we’ve had custom-sewn leather kits come in wrong. This one was supposed to be the light gray shown on the swatch:
It’s clearly a different, dark gray.
This one is supposed to have reticulated foam. It’s replacing the covers on some air-conditioned seats. As you can see, it’s not reticulated:
Just FYI- this is what reticulated foam looks like:
Think pre-filter for your fish tank, or 70s- speaker covers.

looks to me like your sample says 082 stone and your receipt says 092 stone (i realize thats probably just crappy printing on the sample but im making excuses here)
the other one..... well.. thats just someone not paying attention when picking the order (or possibly not paying attention whilst reading the order before picking it)

The sample says 092 Stone. The color that came in was 089 Slate. The second one had to be custom-sewn so it wasn’t a matter of a mis-pick, but a missed instruction from the home office to production.

welp assuming they work like we do (granted im in welding) you’d be surprised how often a mis pick goes all the way through production before/if anyone catches it.... mostly coz the more experienced hands having done it all so many times before work more from memory than from the orders/drawings
(this obviously isnt how we are supposed to work... but old hands have bad habbits)
it definitely shouldnt happen tho......

“Brian the next one is 92 Stone.”
*toke*
“I saw the Stones in ‘92, the 20-minute version of Satisfaction had me tripping balls.”
“Yeah? Sounds like when I saw Slade in ‘89!”
“Slate 89, got it!”
